Day 13, 01072008, Valencia
I think we can never get enough of theme parks.
Okay maybe just myself.
Universal Studios didn't give me enough kick as there were just a few rides and they were rather family-oriented.
And somehow or the other, though CY and DJ were not particularly interested, we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain!
What freaked me out was that earlier in the day I got to know of a teen who got decapitated in the Batman ride in Six Flags Georgia. But he should know that he's not allowed to go into the tracks, there were so many keep-out signs. It was believed that he went into the tracks to find something he dropped.
From the parking areas there was a tram which could bring us to the main entrance and while on the tram, I spotted this car.
Haha it looked so much like Lightning McQueen in the Pixar movie Cars.
First ride of the day was some slowpoke tram that we took to go up to another level of Magic Mountain.
And then we took a lift up to a museum at the top of a tower.
Here's the Superman ride. We never got around to taking it because there was some technical issues while we were queuing. Ivan and I got freaked so we decided not to take. Hahahaha.
This Deja Vu was one hell of a ride. Seriously. Haha. Like the first extreme ride John, Ivan and I took that day and it was already the maximum. Scared the shit out of me! HAHAHA.
The reason why it was called Deja Vu was because the track repeats...just that you go backwards. So when you first get on the ride you go forward, then you'll be hanging chest down. Subsequently you go up again to another tower that you'll be hanging back down, and you go back the same route just that it was backwards and O-M-G!
HAHA. Conquered it!
There were other extreme rides and moderate rides we took but none were as *gasp* as Deja Vu. We didn't take every ride anyway.
Saw Tasmanian Devil (yeay!) and Bugs Bunny.
Superman's logo at the entrance of the ride.
We went to take Riddle as well, it wasn't scary at all but more of fun, like you get twirled around and so on. But it was so fast, my hair band dropped off somewhere during the ride T_T So I was hair-down for the rest of the day and I really didn't like it.
We saw Sylvester too!
Ivan the driver decided that he should stop taking rides, so there was John and I left. We went to take Goliath.
Not as scary as Deja Vu.
After that we went to take the Log Jammer, it was a wet ride that you sit in a log and go down three slides, the last one being the highest. We somehow managed to squeeze five of us into a log (hahaha) and ya it was fun.
And then Tweety and....the skunk whom I don't remember his name.
John bought a Superman cape as a souvenir.
Dusk!
We wanted to take more rides but the queues were too long and I was tired already. Food at Six Flags was too expensive (A Panda Express set costs USD 9.99!! Crazy).
In a bid to find dinner we wanted to go to Boston Chicken again, but it was too late and they closed already.
Nearby was McDonald's.
Ivan ordered this Angus burger.
I got a snack wrap for about USD 2 I think...
...and apple pie! Their apple pies are baked, not fried! And they cost USD 1 for two pies. I love the pies la, there was a heavier cinnamon taste compared to what you get in Singapore.
And yogurt for USD 1!
That's it for today!
