Day 10, 28062008, Universal City

We went to Universal Studios today!!! Wahahaha. Theme park! Theme park! Stars! Stars! Wisteria Lane!! AAAAHHHHH!

Ok that was an overreaction.

We parked at Jurassic Parking and made our way up to Cityloft/City Walk (which will lead us to Universal Studios).

King Kong!

There's actually such a plaque fixed into the ground so that you can take a good photo of King Kong and you. I'm not the kind fascinated over taking photos of myself with every spot so there you go.

Entrance of Universal Studios.

We wanted to go for the Studio Tour and on our way to take the tram, we saw the wreckage caused by a fire at New York Street. (King Kong)

Aboard the tram.

The guide was a very funny lady who made the whole tour even more entertaining. I think I totally enjoyed Universal Studios because the staff there look so happy and that makes you feel good.

We got to Wisteria Lane!!! I'm so happy!!! Hahahah after years of watching Desperate Housewives on TV I finally got to see the set myself. The following house should be Susan Mayer's house.

The set from Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds.

The Studio Tour also included visiting the many many sets of movies from loong ago to today (many of which I can't identify).

After the tour we went to see Shrek 4D, it was entertaining! It was kinda like IMAX, just that other than the 3D glasses the seats were able to move along with the story to add effect, and when Donkey sneezed you really feel water being spit on your face!

That's the staff in charge of Shrek 4D. The workers tending to whichever station wore related costumes, like an elvish costume for Shrek.

After Shrek we went to Krustyland! It's the newest ride at Universal Studios. There was a long queue for this. However we get to queue indoors and the best part is there are flat-screens at almost every corner of the queue entertaining you with clips from The Simpsons! Super duper funny. Seriously. A classic one was the Itchy & Scratchy Show in The Simpsons. My friends and I are still talking about it. Hahaha. I can't exactly describe to you.

Krustyland wasn't as fun as I thought la. It's the kind of roller coaster simulator which wasn't exciting at all.

There was this caravan that sells popcorn - Popcornopolis - and their popcorns come in thousands of different flavours!!! But! One pack is USD 7+. We didn't eat at all. Hahaha.

And we walked to Jurassic Park. A ride down to a splash and got ourselves wet.

After Jurassic Park we went to take The Mummy. That was when Scooby-Doo and Shaggy came out in the Mystery Machine! AAhhhhh! Scooby-Doo! Hahaha.

There was this extremely talent artist who was drawing the poster of the recent Angelina Jolie movie Wanted. And she was just drawing it on the tar ground and that was just superb.

We also saw Fear Factor Live! and Terminator 2.

That was a Saturday that we went, and look at the number of people!

Flinstones.

The grill smelled reaaaallly good.

Marilyn Monroe.

Waterworld. I couldn't identify with this show 'cos it was so long ago. But still exciting as usual.

Caramel apples. Expensive.

Jelly beans of all kinds.

We got a Spongebob Squarepants water bottle for CY 'cos it was her birthday! Another 21st. DJ carried the bottle for her for a while and oh my the nose of Spongebob.

We left Universal Studios happy.

Citywalk.

More caramel apples. You can see them in quite a number of places. I only tried a bite before when CY and DJ bought one. Erm, I won't say I particularly liked it, 'cos the apple was quite soggy and not crunchy due to the caramel layer.

Hard Rock Cafe.

I got this shirt from Hard Rock Cafe for my brother and another shirt from the Universal Studios store =P Scooby-Doo! Though mine was a size S (men's) it was still quite large.

Look out for more!
