Day 0, 18062008, Singapore - Bangkok - Los Angeles
Finally I'm updating. Haha. The past couple of days have been real fun yet tiring, so I'd usually fall asleep.
Anyway, here goes.
Day 0, 18062008, Singapore - Bangkok - Los Angeles
Completed packing in the morning.
Luggage. Checked. Bag. Checked. Laptop. Checked. Camera. Checked. DS. Checked.
Thanks to the people who came to send off!
And Evelyn's birthday present for me! (more on that later)
On the plane with me were Chui Ying, Dai Jing, Ivan, Elizabeth and Divya.
And up we go...
...to lousy service but glorious food on Thai Airways.
And down we go...to the numerous cultural exhibitions in Suvarnabhumi Airport.
And then up we go again...
To more quality food and dark skies.
Dawn began to break.
Another round of good food. Those are shrimps.
And then a last round of food. Crab meat. But I guess the dish was stored for too long and the vegetables turned yucky.
Looking out of the window we knew we were near.
And there we are.
Los Angeles. After about 15 hours of flight from BKK.
Customs was pretty scary because they were so strict. But the man whom attended to me was friendly. We were chatting while he was doing the necessary stuff and he said I spoke with a kind of British accent (?). I told him it was probably Sesame Street. And he cracked up. (I don't know he laughed because he realised Sesame Street was American and not British or the entire thing was funny but oh well.)
We had to meet John at LAX (LA Int'l airport) and while waiting I opened up Eve's gift for me.
So cute right?? The lion is actually a luggage lock! I used it to lock the zip of my laptop case.
OK, 'tis the end of Day 0. Will continue with Day 1.
Anyway, here goes.
